The real damage of cases like this is the erosion of the right of self defense. We have all seen the videos of women on subway cars getting beat up or raped and the other riders all look away or worse yet film it with their phones but do nothing to come to the womens aid. People say why didn't anyone do anything to help the poor women? It's because of cases like this that they don't. They see how people who intervene spend years in jail or have their lives ruined. I am ashamed to say I have thought of what I would do when I concealed carry and God forbid would come across such a situation. For Me I think I would only intervene to help someone I know or immediate family and hope that I would be able to live with the fact that I maybe could have helped someone and didn't.

My daughter was standing in line to get on the light rail in Seattle when she was suddenly hit in the leg by a large rock. A crazy lady picked up the rock, held it over her head and menaced again. My daughter was limping between people to escape, and no one would intervene.

The light rail cost millions and millions to build. The taxpayers have to pay for it. When you purchase a ticket, you can get on the platform. Bureaucrats decided inclusion was needed so everyone can access the platform. The rail police occasionally check the passengers for tickets.

Few ride the light rail because it is loaded with vagrants, crazies and homeless.
