Has anyone mounted a panoptix transducer from a non-cable minn kota or an arm over the side of the boat yet? Garmin does not offer an arm to suspend transducer yet. Transom mount does not sound good for the river. Closest thing premade is kayak transducer holders and I don't know if they are long enough. Homemade seems like the only option.

Been thinking of building an arm that’ll hold my humminbird SI ducer over the side. I’m thinking I’d sacrifice a rod holder and use aluminum for the arm.
