I believe GF has drop off programs (baby sitting). I wonder if they have a table saw I can check out.

It looks like Minot is the only library that has tools to check out and they have a nice variety. Others have learning tools for people of all ages. State park passes , backpacks and bird hunting kits , wi-fi hotspots and such, also a nice variety. This is an awesome program taxpayer money being spent wisely. I hope word gets out and people use it and request more so it grows. Hopefully Minot is a pilot program and if it is popular they will grow with it. I hope a few people reading this will visit or call your Library with a compliment about the program and hint around if they will be getting a bigger selection ? Iv'e bought a lot of expensive tools in my day that have been used once. Right now it's a pex pipe crimper that I need , It will be the same thing unless I check one out.

Thanks for all of the helpful information. I will need to pick up a map and invest in some better glass. From there I should be able to figure it out and will keep you posted how it goes. Do I really need a spotting scope, or will a good set of binoculars be good enough? Just thinking about extra weight for the hike in and pack out.

If I happen to break a leg in the next 3 months, I will contact master road hunters Sweeney and Scrotcaster for their favorite routes

I use my binos on a tripod 95% of the time only time the spotter will come out is if im trying to judge if i want to chase the deer but now alot of times i dont even bring it. I have swaro slc 10x42 and if it gives me that oh shit feeling i know its big enough and you can stay behind the good binos so much longer with out getting eye fatigue. Mostly my spotter stays in the truck and helps scout for ducks and geese.

And it's actually the gumbo (wet bentonite) under the scoria that snotifies.
