Thing that has me worried other then the deer is heavy snow pack is one of the biggest contributing factors in winter kill on the lakes. Hope we don't smoke a bunch of these new lakes but nothing we can do about it now and don't even want to think about the cluster fuck that next year's deer tag numbers are going to be!!! Here's the totals for a few of the towns.

Had 10 deer running down the road in front of me this morning on my way to the gym, they did not want to get off the road. I slowly crept behind them until they finally banged a right down a neighbors driveway. All this snow is getting old and fast, I now know why people go south for the winter.

Sure glad I'm not working outside today. A tad brisk this morning.

Wags, you ok, and did you see anything besides falling snow?
You good Wags, you make it back to the vehicle at least? Did you see any deer? This winter sucks and we have only had cold/snow for a month imagine if it started in November when it easily could have, people would be checking into the nut house.

Had to maintain a lot of momentum to get the hell out of there. was surprised how much the prairie trail blew-in in just a few hours of hunting. Had 8 different bucks come in and about the same number does/fawns. Never saw the ones im after, was still fun and pretty comfy bundled up in the ground blind with the big buddy going.

Spent 15 hours on my Little kubota moving and blowing snow all weekend, 2 days getting caught up from the last couple storms and about 3 hours last night after the weekend snow wound down.

For grins, my wife and girls and I watched Empire Strikes Back. Then I went out and cleared the driveway. I think I smelled a TaunTaun out there. And I looked like a Wampa when I came back in.

On the plus side, the snow was so light and fluffy that I could truck right along in 6th gear with my blower. Until I hit a crack in the sidewalk, flipped over the bars, and ran over my own ass. That was neat.

I am trying to recover from a head cold, severe sinus pain, etc. Blew the driveway out around 4 pm yesterday, picked my dog up from the kennel we had him at while vacation in the hills, got back to the house and the wind had laid more snow in the clean driveway, so blew that out. Then this morning the plow came through and laid about a 3 foot high 4 foot wide windrow across the bottom of the driveway.

My blower has had more run time this season than I think it has in the last 5 combined.

Now it is a balmy -19*, and had to take the diesel to work, as my little grocery getter car cant handle the streets yet today. Hoping for some algore warming here anytime soon.

Same here, had to have the machine shop do a major repair on the blower impeller and I did some other improvements to it while it was totally disassembled and glad i did as it works better than it ever has.
I have put more hours on my Kubota tractor in the last month than the last several years total as well.

As I was working yesterday the wife decided to blow some snow. Didn't take an hour for her to call me and tell me, "Some cable broke and it wont go." Here intentions were good and it likely wasn't her fault, but now I get to replace the clutch cable....and as long as I'm in there....the auger clutch cable, 2 belts and the friction disk.
