Defense held them to a 10 in the first half would have been 7 if kicker doesn’t mess up. They finally got wore down with offense doing nothing. 2 turnovers and 0 points from offense .

Supposedly the 3rd best overall defense in the league, players need to step up and play even better. If the defense can't step up next week regardless of what the offense does its over because defense is what win playoffs. Detroit defense stepped up even with all their injuries, and made our defense look mediocre.

Well they were playing the second ranked offense and for only the third time this year held the lions to 10 points before half time. If darnold makes even two of the four missed td passes it changes the whole game flow. The offense made it easy for the lions just to pound them out playing with the lead the whole game. They had 2 turnovers one gift wrapped in the red zone and a saftey that the refs missed. The defense played lights out till they ran out of gas from getting no help. Is the expectation that the lions were not going to score at all. Defense might win but you still have to score and 9 points isnt getting it done in todays nfl very often

It was a painful game from the start,almost seemed like queens were coasting why bother getting banged up already made the play offs

Lions defense shut the vikes down, it's that simple, just imagine what the lions defense would have been if they had Hutchinson back. Vikes must be lacking on the depth charts as far as overall talent compared to the lions overall talent on defense.

What game where you watching? Its not shutting some one down when the qb is sailing passes over wide open receivers heads its incompetence .

IMHO, Darnold cost the Vikings this game against Detroit. The defense was there in the first half, not as much so in the second half as they got tired/dejected with the offense.

The Vikings are a team that has greatly exceeded expectations this year. Will they go far in the playoffs? Not if this is the Darnold going forward. So, my plan is to simply go into each game with no expectations.

Sam was getting rushed so quickly his passes were basic flyers. Why in the hell when they were down at the 5 yr line didn't they pound Jones 4 times if need be to get the TD. Lackluster performance all night inside the 20. Hopefully an eye opener for next Rams game.

Vikes had a pretty good season and honestly really over performed. Would surprise me if they won next week. The rams are pretty healthy. Question is for long term. I say they fire their GM as he has sucked drafting and it shows with the team depth. I sure hope they don't sign Sam. They need a shit ton of money to sign a lot of free agents since they can't draft players. I hope I am wrong but I see a 8 win season for next year. The typical yoyo seasons we have been seeing the last decade from the Vikes.

Fire the gm after this??? Sorry but not going to happen in a million years that's not the sign you wana send to the league, current/future employees, and esp the fans.. Who else would wana take that gig after building an over-performing 14-3 team that would typically be a number one seed going into the playoffs only to get canned..cmon man (just ribb'n ya!)

Reading some of these replies, I'd swear they just ended their season..it was absolute shit to watch but best to get it out the system before the playoffs.. 8-9 wins in a row is good enough for me, they'll come back that much better, watch.

That ravens was the best defense ever the league has seen. With today’s rules I can’t imagine the fines and penalties they would get . Some killers on that team that would lay the wood
