I think I’ve seen this movie before. while following in his mentors shoes doesn’t the apprentice snap and kill all the young fans. Will this lead to Favre coming out of retirement again?

Someone is going to photoshop Mace Windu's purple lightsaber into this picture if he signs with the Vikings, a blood vessel will break inside my head somewhere, and I will slip contentedly into death's sweet embrace...

Vikes signed Jordan Mason last night.....sneaky good trade. Got hiim for a 6th round next year and pick swap later in this year's draft. He's a hard runner, 5.2 yards per carry with 3.7 yards after contact. Almost 800 yards in 6 starts with the 49'ers. 26 years old.

The first part of the day was going so well, then I saw this fucking bullshit. Now I have to go to work pissed off. Have to. So completely unfair to the players and coaches, their families and the fans. Disgusting. I was thinking 9-8, now it's 7-10, because they are the Vikings and a surprise season is always followed by a SURPRISE season. FUCK THE NFL!!

It’s better to have the 2 back to back if you’re going to have 2. Also the 2 countries are an 8 hour drive apart so probably an hour flight. Also they’re both “road “ games so not losing any home games. Not the end of the world. I’d be more concerned about the front office hitching all their hopes on a qb who played 1 preseason game and got hurt and being the immediate starter if I was a queens fan

I agree this is actually a best case scenario, 2 neutral site road games and reduces the long flights to one round trip basically. Plus the Vikes are undefeated over there aren't they? Way more concerned about the rookie QB than the schedule. Schedule was going to be tough anyway going 14-3 last year.

Yeah, it's the head coaches job to put some spin on it and make it sound anywhere from "ok" to "That is GREAT". Like for instance, if it was announced the team would be eating shit sandwiches for the pre-game meals, the coach would talk about how they are "grateful for something to eat" and "The bread will be perfectly baked, the mustard will be a perfect 5 out of 5, and the cloth napkins used to wipe the shit from the corner of their mouths will be made from the finest Egyptian cotton." If he said what he really thinks, the NFL would probably fine him.

Rookie QB isn't as much of a concern if we can protect him and give more time for things to develop in front of him. Our investment in OL gives me hope we can. Add KOC QB Whisperer as the X factor and I think we might have something more that we think we do.

Those things definitely help but there's always concern when a rookie who has never played a down starts. Could be great but could also be terrible. Need to rely on the run game and defense to take some of the pressure off him too. There'll more then likely be a learning curve either way. Just never know....
