Anybody have experience with this? I have a Tikka T1X coming with just the plain black stock and would like to pretty it up a bit and add a bit of texture. I like the grey or darkish tan colors with the black spider webbing. I've found some info online but figured I'd check in with the experts...

Spray paint or more professional-er? I used a light coat of the krylon texture then did the paint. Added a nice bite to your grip. I can send you picture once I get home.

Granite-finish Krylon. If you don't like it, spray it w/brake cleaner and do it again. You can buy the "webbing" paint as well, I think you can order off Amazon and maybe some craft stores stock it.

Course texture? Do you sand with fine sand paper first and wipe down with acetone? Do you use a clear coat to finish?

I use the automotive paint at O'Reillys them web it and put 3 to 4 coats of clear on it. I then take 0000 steel wool to take the shine off. I have painted lots of stock and lots of AR's.

How about some pics? Would love to see some different styles to help decide what I want.

Nice looking work 1Less.

I'm more interested in a "scattered natural" woodland pattern using pine boughs, grass etc. Should the base coat be light or dark?

Also pondered doing the steel as above and the stock in this manner Any opinions/experience?:
