I’m a big fan of Goodyear Duratraks. Always got a lot of miles on them and they seemed to keep their grip on ice even as they wore down. Nice for ice fishing. Now my truck has 22” rims and Goodyear doesn’t make a duratrak for them. On my second set of Cooper Rugged Trek. They’ve been an ok tire. Got 58k on first set and easily could have gotten more.

What do you guys know about siping tires for snow ? My pickup tires are about 6 years old and still lots of tread but poor traction in snow, seems like the rubber hardens over time or loses it's flex as it wears down.

Sipping allows for better traction but at a higher wear rate..usually. some manufacturers are trying to make tires for snow and ice such as michelans cross climate that limits sipping to get longer miled from the tire.

I havent heard any complaints about them yet. I am tempted to put them on kids car when they need to be replaced.

Momma and the kid have a 2nd set of wheels w/Blizzaks for winter. Each set including used factory wheels w/sensors ended up about $250-$300 more than a collision deductible..........

I'm sitting with 22" on my rig also. Options are limited.

Last ones I tried were these 10 ply Radar renegades, seemed to be wearing ok but they were louder and threw rocks.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Kenda Kleavers. Have them on 2 Chevy half tons and been really impressed with them so far. First set but seem to be wearing nice and real impressed on the ice and in the snow. Have Terra grapplers on duramax and those also seem to be wearing nice but that pickup is a garage queen and mostly drove in the summer

Had duratracs on duramax years ago when it was drove more consistently in the winter and hunting and I’ll say those are the most over hyped under performing tire I’ve ever had. Dad pickup came new with them, 2500 dodge and he also hates them.
