If you own your own dock I recommend strategically installing a couple bug zappers sans catch trays, soft illumination and stuffing Christmas trees under it. I've seen some things:

ion year around,best table fare...big gills are rare these days but can be had on private water in my area here in Minnesota.

Over the years reports of monster gills coming out of "lake havasue"in AZ,has been on my bucket list,last new record gill was/is 5lbs!.

Several years ago my buddy Terry and I floated the idea of spending the winter on Lake Havasu fishing for big sunfish. We were going to trailer Todd's (FIO) Lund Impact until he saw pictures of Bobkat's transome covered with mussels.
Terry is gone now and i can't even fish the river so It's another scratch from the "bucket list"
Times a wasten boys, do it now.
