I'd squash out the little credit card balance I have and the car payments, take some for some repairs around the farm. Take part for home payments to help get it over with faster and set a good chunk of it aside to help with kids college future and hopefully early retirement. My job isn't really physically taxing so not sure how long I would keep working, probably when I hit the wall of I'm done dealing with this BS. At 41yr old I wouldn't be sad about retiring at 55 with both daughters being graduated out of HS by the time I'm 50.
My old 2004 Dodge Cummins only has 175,000 on it, got a couple other fixer upper vehicles I can use as I don't really care how shiny of a vehicle I drive anymore. Got an old 1983 Bobcat 843 skidder that I still need to fix or or something.

Buy a CAT
Haha I got this one at not a bad price from a family friend, got lots of hours on it till I started having steering problems. The cost to replace with any brand just is not in the budget. For my job I get to mess around with lots of different brands over the years and CAT probably isn't in my top 3 for operation to be honest, I've seen all brands have their issues too. Considering my 843 is a year older than me and hard to say what the previous owner's did with it or how it was taken care of it's done well, not sure how many owners have had it. I do know the guy I bought it from is a wheeler dealer auction buyer then sell stuff and they aren't the most mechanical but supposedly they didn't use it much, I had a few fixes that I performed on it.

Buy a CAT
We have 5 of them and 7 bobcats right now and none older than 3 years old except one and with the new electric over hydraulic controls being slow and jumpy every one pics the bobcats. We still have one old cat with the older controls that is better than any of the newer ones. One almost brand new bobcat with the foot pedals that just sits as no one wants that. Cat skidsteers live off of their name recognition not quality

Bobcats are like the new MN Vikings cheerleaders, real pretty, but gay as a $3.00 bill

I would go to a casino and double my money. Then put half away and spend the other million on trucks and S S. and maybe 10 acres to hunt on.

Dealer support is an over looked factor as well sometimes. There is a dealer I of that has been pissing off some customers but yet they kept going back because theyare Brand Blind

Kurtr is right. Bobcat is a real good machine. Haven’t ran a New Holland in years but a decade or so ago they made a really good machine. Know some guys that like Kubota as well. Case, JD and CAT are the 3 worst skid steers I’ve ever ran. Horrible visibility out the sides and underpowered compared to NH or Bobcat.

You do realize that NH and Case are basically same machine outside of few different features here and there. Not sure how old of machines you have ran or what models you are comparing between them all but I wouldn't necessarily be so quick to call some newer Bobcat a powerhouse. I don't care for the visibility in the JD or Cat but I wouldn't call the Case too bad.
The Case 370B has been a pretty impressive machine for a 74hp, their 620B has been a hit or miss from what I hear. The new JD P series is "smarter" but almost too smart with issues getting some attachments to work through their 14pin electrical, the 333G was a powerhouse. Bobcat has their stupid proprietary 7 pin to try to force you to use only their attachments, yes for a price you can have the 14 added but got to hope it gets done correctly. Kubota with the big front door is nice for somethings but their joystick functions are lacking for attachments (I think they fixed that now). JCB = Junk Coming from Britan, actually I really don't know much on them but the Volvo single arm wasn't all it was cracked up to be and there is a reason you don't see more on construction sites. I haven't ran any Cats for a while but got a couple customers that are happy with theirs

Obviously none of you experts have ran the new CAT 285.
Its a mini dozer to say the least with a huge new cab 40% more room, great vis, and the option of adding a 2 tooth ripper to the rear.

Its all personal preference, just like a Dodge queer loves him his gay pickup, you are not going to convince him the number one selling Ford is where its at...haha

They all make decent equipment, however some are just gay..

Add a 0 to that end and then do it on 15 of them in a year and form an opinion. 100 hours is like 2 weeks during the summer
I am not in the construction business, I was pretty impressed with my 100 hours...haha
