Quick question????

Hey guys.... I just had a random thought i never thought about before until I was out checking the lake tonight.... There is a place where enough ice as gone out to start shore fishing. How does it work if you would use 2 rods to shore fish, can you use 2 tip ups on the surrounding ice? thats what i would assume would be how it worked...because your not allowed to use 2 shore fishing rods in open water, and 4 tip ups on frozen water would be my guess.. just never thought about it?

Note: When fishing a water body where both open water and ice fishing occur at the same time, an angler is allowed a maximum of four poles of which no more than two poles can be used in open water

Thanks! that is what i assumed.. but I had never thought about it before..
