Wonder if it could be used to chrono a bow?

Yep. Has a setting for bow, handgun, and rifle. Basically you're telling the unit what velocity range it's looking for.

Is there a setting for the velocity of Harsh Language hurled at various critters when they don't read the script and move away from the path of my projectile or pattern thus producing a non-hit???? ;:;banghead

Radar Chronograph

That looks like a nice unit. It looks like it's priced the same as an Oehler 35P.

Have you compared both while you're shooting? Or one then the other?

I have an Oehler but I like this.

I don't have a '35. Pard @ shooting club does, we're going to set up the radar, a magneto-speed, and the '35 all at the same time and see what's what. Someday.......................

The radar has 'em all beat for simplicity/ease of use. Will be interesting to see consistency between range sessions as well as start testing to see how wide the cone is and does it matter if stuff is on the edge of the cone or in the middle.

All I've determined so far is that it's easy to use and everything I chrono'd fell basically in line with what I expected.

That and my father in law can't shoot it my chrony has a .284 hole in it but still works.. Me and the boy went to the range and shoot his 243 with the 58 vmax thinking they were cooking along right at 38ish. Nice having a range with a roof to shoot in the rain.

How fast are your 58's? What are you pushing them with and how much? I haven't chronod mine but I was thinking about the same.

My book says 41.5 varget is 3600. I shot 41.6 IMR 4064 with 58's. 9 twist does magical things to pdogs.
