Got another yearly letter from capital electric stating another rate increase. I’ve lost track now but is this like the 3rd or 4th rate hike in that many years….. this shits getting old. Does anyone know when the subsidies and tax monies we are giving going to all this clean energy and alternative Energy and All the other projects around the state that Hoeven, Cramer, Burgem and Fedorchek keep pimping out are going to help with our energy bills? That would be fucking great. Who keeps approving these rate hikes year after year? Fedorchek? I swear our elected officials in ND are damn near worse than Democrats……

If electric is too high perhaps you should look into ways that can lower your overall costs, many examples can be found on line. But accepting the reality of the situation is your first step, this seems to be a reoccurring problem that perhaps needs to be addressed with someone who can help you find 🤔 best viable option. Life is hard for everyone nowadays

Capital electrics rates are not subject to approval by PSC.
Good to know. Are they regulated by any governing body? Or just jack rates at their leisure? Do they take money for cost sharing on projects? Are they getting their rates increased by their suppliers? Just really curious about how all this works when all I hear on the news is politician after politician spouting off about how great this or that or re-investing in this or that to pass onto the consumer the savings or energy independence. They are all full of shit. Anytime I hear Kermit the hoeven talk anymore I know tax money is getting pissed away. Someone is getting richer and im going to end up paying more. Im starting to understand government and larger entities are nothing more than legal embezzlement and money laundering schemes.

Thats the point Im trying to make here. The consumer can only do so much on their end. But how does this work when every utility goes up by 8-15% every year along with everything else. Why is it always on the consumers to “accept it” and figure out a way. Dont we elect people to figure out a way for us? Dont we dump tax dollars into these projects for the greater good? You fucking boomers have created a mess. Always telling people “thats just the way it is” or to accept it. Maybe some of the younger generations arent willing to accept things because we can see how truly fucked it really is? 🤷🏼

Nope I'm not a boomer, I'm a generation x and that is where I stand on that, but expressing frustration without having a solution is more harmful and detrimental to one's health. But I do agree that everything can be overwhelming especially when it comes to daily life we have no control over. I was only given you some friendly advice to your situation, because that's what men do we find solutions to problems especially those we have control over.

Explain the logical reason why they are not subject to the PSC. I am forced to use Capital Electric if I want electricity at my property thus making them a monopoly. Menards wanted MDU to supply their power at their new plant East of Bismarck as it would be cheaper. The PSC approved their request and Capital Electric sued and I believe in the end lost.

Oh no I have a solution. I have a lot of them actually. But I can guarantee you the wealthy in this state or those siphoning out of the tax pool wouldn’t like me one bit.

I don’t want a fucking rebate. I want responsible, non lying, money laundering buddy boy politicians who actually want to help the common man. A rebate just like the property tax rebate? lol I can’t wrap my head around how so many people are ok giving all their money away
Because most people realize that taxes and death are never going away,

No shit….not if you ding a lings keep voting down ways to decrease your taxes…..
Unfortunately that's one of those things that we see differently since I have no issues with my tax burden, givng others a way to make even more money without paying their share is not worth the few dollars I save.

So you want us to all suffer equally?

If your neighbor might save a few bucks more than you, all the while you too are saving, just not quite as much as they, you are completely against it?

Its like eating a bucket of shit, just because your neighbor would have to eat one too.

You are OK with large investment companies gobbling up astronomical land prices and on top of that they pay zero taxes, as long as you save to?

We all have the oportunity to purchase land that is for sale. But as it sits now you, me, and the other land tax payers are paying, while Walmart, CHI, and other giant industry gets a waver, or exemption.

The only thing that would have changed is we wouldn't be paying their fair share that we all have to pay now.
