RAY AREA

[tunakiller]

How is the deer population in the Ray area after their big fire.

[eyexer]

Deer population in 3A1 as a whole isn’t worth a crap

[v193]

deer everywhere in 3A1, especially in that area and west toward Williston and along the Montana border. Fire didn't do anything but push them out for a bit, and regrow forage.

The regrowth can make those burned patches pretty attractive once things settle down, so the fire may have helped the long-term feed situation.
