To be honest , I don't think we know the half of it. and what we do have they are still working kinks out of so I don't see them taking a bunch of jobs away in the near future but the race is on to do just that.

The stationary or plug in ones have been around for ages but have improved a lot, they can already work faster and better than humans but mostly factory and warehouse work. The agile ones can only lift about 6 pounds and I'm sure battery life is a big issue but guessing they are smart enough to plug in and recharge if they can find an outlet. If not solar power charge a few hours and make a run for an outlet.

Like everyone says there will be good and bad. The reason I think this will escalate with no stopping it is defence. Pre-covid my boy traveled to china a few times for work and trade shows in the trade, back then he saw the technology that is just hitting youtube today, and more so it's hard telling what they are keeping to themselves.

I watched a video from Kim Jung land where they were air dropping thousands of AI powered suicide test drones about the size of black birds. I don't know if it was real but we already know the technology is out there for all to see. These small guys that mean big harm, terrorists included.

My boy still works in the industry so once or twice a year I pick his brain on a road trip or some time without distractions and he will open up, At first I had a hard time believing some of the AI technology , thinking we were still decades away but here we are already. I can't think of any other industry with the capabilities to build itself like AI and how it compliments the robot industry.
The race is on to be the first to flood the market.

That one might still be a ways off , all the videos that I saw on it are AI generated .

If man comes up with an idea, you know sci fi and AI actually makes it a reality, does man get the credit or does AI?

Man does. Then after a while of that, AI gets tired of that bullshit and we all know how that ends...

I convinced chat gpt that Ford was a far superior truck then chevy and toyota....in fact it told me to never buy a chevy by the time i was done with it....AI is messed up....dont follow what AI says. In my opinion they are all good but for AI to be convinced is truly amazing. It originally said they were all good choices depending what you were looking for. I also had it telling me it would inform other people that ask the same question of which is better that its response would be Ford. I tried it again and it didnt say ford it was a generic response. 🤣
