Come to think of it just getting to ride a different bus to stay the night at a friends house was a big big deal. Sometimes for an entire weekend even.Sledding down the water tower hill zipping through a couple town blocks, and for safety sake the city had barricade signs on the side of the street just for us to put out at each intersection while we were sledding. How cool was that! Teen night at the swimming pool in town was always a fun time under the lights in the summer. And a fun way to meet girls, that and going roller skating at the big roller & skating rinks in the bigger towns.Renting skates at the parish hall to strap on your shoes Sunday nights was a special occasion that the folks took you into town for.I remember going to the bar after a long day in the fields as a 14-17 year old and drinking with my pa and the hired man.  This was in northern South Dakota and was always told there was a law that it was up to the discretion of the bar tender to serve you if you were with your parent.Going to the rez to get commods , always filled the topper of the truck right up to the top mm mmm!When going fishing involved digging worms, bobbers and a couple zebcos and rod holders and a stringer.uffda life was pretty damn good, wouldn't trade my upbringing for the world. Didn't have allot of money but didn't really care or think about it.</blockquote>
