I know it's tough because been there, done that but when you lose a good friend be it dog or human you need to write a story or stories of your adventures. Believe me, it's enjoyable to re-read even if it's through tear clouded eyes.

I took some of Abby's ashes to a few of our special places. The rest are on my nightstand. Still give her a kiss every morning.

Sorry to hear Nanky. Reading your post, I had a hard time recalling my last pup (not a difficult, but emotional). It's been 7 years and you still reflect on the goods times.

As for the ashes I ended up placing him next to my deer stand so I could continue hunting with him.

Sorry for your loss Nanky. They are our life long companions and by life long i mean forever. They touched our hearts in special ways and always loved us no matter what kind of a day we had. We keep ours on the bedroom dresser in their urns. Talk to them all the time!
