I have watched quite a few videos from Rolag MN steam thrashing show and finally made it there this year with all the grandkids. Young and old alike, we all had fun and learned a lot. I've been around old tractors and antiques all my life and thought I was acquainted with most this lifestyle but I realized I wasn't even close. Well worth the drive and a part of history that kids should see.

I was wondering how "Horse" Power would be for a feature year and seemed to be a good turnout from what I could tell. I'm down working the tractor pull area Saturday and Sunday so from Friday afternoon till Monday morning I don't get around much sometimes.
Next year the Feature Tractor is Steiger Tractors and I will be interested to see what shows up. Pretty cool history that started in a farmers shop.

We didn't make it to the horses since we were only there on Monday and the day went fast but what a well run event. I was surprised how intrigued the grand kids were, I was afraid they would get bored but not even close. Next year stump lake threshing show but we will back to Rolag in 27 for sure . Has anyone else been there ?

Used to go every year now about every 7-10. Know a couple of the members down there that work it and a few neighbors who have donated stuff for it. Fun show, my favorite is watching the big Case steam tractor pull the sled with ease.

I don't know who all is involved but there is a youtuber who totally stripped one down to the nuts and rebuilt it , he runs a bunch of them. If I remember I'll post

Was there as a young lad, when I wore a Fargo hat.

When leaving with Grandpa the old couple talking with the cop trying to find their car was a memory I cannot forget.

"Ethel", says the old man, "we drove a green Buick here", Ethel says "we sold that car years ago, we are in a white cutlas. Old man says "we are absolutely in a green Buick." Cop says, "guys I don't know that I can help you, might have to wait for the crowds to start leaving so we can find your car."

To this day I wonder what car they actually had, and how long they waited to find it.

Yep, I found it after I asked but didn't find any 5020s pulling. I bet they would be good pullers. The hardest thing on equipment is not using it, I have a 5010 and a 5020, Both locked up from sitting.
