Room with a view

Drove down to Las Vegas for the week on our way to Phoenix next weekend. Here is our "Room with a View" from the 28th (top) floor of the Flamingo Hotel.



Had supper ... fajitas with "Perfect Margaritas" on the rocks in Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant and here was some of the entertainment. She was the blender in the margarita. I'd have drank/drunk/consumed from that glass.

We are back in SJ after what turns out to be our abbreviated trip south. We were in Harrahs Wednesday waiting for a show to open it's doors and I passed out on my feet (sitting down so I didn't fall down.) Hotel medics were called along with the LV paramedics. After 45 minutes and by the time everything was done I felt fine. I walked around for a few minutes and didn't get transported to the ER. This was at 6:00 PM. We went back to the Flamingo. At 1 AM it hit me again, strong shivering (like I have never had before), headaches, very sore throat. We called for the paramedics again and I went to the ER. Six hours later were back at the Flamingo with a diagnose of type A flu. I take Tamiflu twice a day (5 days, one pill left) and 600 mg of Advil/Tylanol alternately every 4 hours. It's been 4+ days ... sometimes I feel OK and sometimes I hurt. The wife got a flu shot (I didn't) and she seems to be symptom free. Maybe something to consider in the future.

Hell of a way to spend a vacation. I did't leave the room from Thursday AM until we left LV Monday morning.

Anyone else have the flu and how did it affect you?

ps: I went back again and watched the show twice more with a different girl and have more pics if wanted.

That flu is a nasty mother. Old man had it this year and knocked his ass out for a solid 10 days. Glad you got some tamaflu. That shit works great.
