they don't use penny's in Canada. They have eliminated the use of such.

At least they corrected it ....tax on 4.29 on my phone comes to .3861 at 9%....they system probably automatically rounds up if the third digit is over 5....some calculators do the same thing, some will give the EXACT number depending on how many decimals places it can handle...but the third digit is key to rounding up or down I guess.

so with the said equation above....tax was probably .39 am I right???

So now...I may have to check on this sceneio...

I ordered a papa john pizza the other day...large for 9.99

they also charged a delievery fee of 2.50..THEN taxed everything for total tax of 1.13...don't think he can tax for delievery at 9%...delievery is not part of the preparing the food....so guess I gotta email tax dept with that question....

Well I got my answer back on that one...so....they got it right.

Hi Monte,

The delivery fee is taxable because the pizza is taxable. Our freight, delivery, and other transportation guideline discusses this topic: http://www.nd.gov/tax/data/upfiles/media/gl-21815-1.pdf

They should be charging a 9% sales tax on the pizza and delivery fee.
