Back then both times it had luke warm reception from ag groups. This go round was different. There was not a lot of thought put into this prior to introduction, but with the support that came from grass roots ag after the fact there was effort to change it in an attempt to get something started and passed. Many people around the state know people impacted by the DAPL protests and there simply is more and more issues of shit happening during hunting around the state so this gains support. The threads in this site and others gave a glimpse into the issues that remain out there . There is a growing lack of respect and simple courtesy. If that continues on the pace it is this bill will be back down the road and it will have enough fore thought and preparation to pass as it has in other states. There are good people that supported this bill. I have friends and neighbors that supported this bill that are easy going great people that most times do not bother to post their lands simply because it is a pain to do so or they do not mind most people hunting. A couple of those folks at ball games mentioned this thread and the one on FBO. They were not impressed with some of the comments. Like it or not, these sites are a reflection of the sportsmen community in our state. Most people know from firsthand experience most sportsmen are good folks simply looking for a place to hunt with friends and family. But a few seem to forget that that is being done on others property and come on here and spout off about it and when those land owners read some of the comments on sites like this one, there are some good people that tire of it. People on here can take this for what it is worth or they can start telling stories about the asshole rancher that ran them off at gun pointy our in the grasslands I really don't care. But remember when this comes back somewhere down the road, what will make it easier to keep things the way they are now? Like it or not someone else owns the lands many of us hunt on..................they deserve a bit of courtesy.</blockquote>
