Looking for a seasonal camping spot tired of the headache of reserving 3 months ahead and hoping the weather is nice. Been one failer after another this sommer. Anybody have any good ideas of nice areas where the fish bite at least some time. Thanks in advance.

it sounds like south end r and r , devils lake might have some openings, south end of black tiger. reasonably priced, when the water was at
its highest you didn't need a boat could catch limit off dock every night. the last few years it has been slower. there is a new campsite that
just opened on black tiger bay too. that is all I know

Van hook usually has some seasonal spots. IIRC you have to sign up in person and they eventually draw names out of a hat. Don't quote me on that though

City of Riverdale/ Morningstar Campground on Government Bay. Runs about $1000 per season (5/15-9/30).

Lotteried up a spot a McKenzie bay this season. Looking forward to not pulling the 5th wheel back and forth with Biden's economy.
Was a bit spendy, but should still save a bunch on fuel and time. Now of course the water is down, but the fishing will be good.

Kohler Point Campground has an add in Bisman right now. They're on Lake Oahe, close to the SD boarder.
