Will be starting in about a week. I am hoping to shoot a lot this year.
I will be using a Beretta A303 12 gauge modified choke for the first season.
What is everyone's preference?
Gun.
Gauge.
Size shot.
Any other info.
I have read a lot on Shotgun world and everyone has different views.
Thanks, any and all info is welcomed.

Whatever gun fits you the best is the best choice. My favorites are my Beretta Silver Pigeon over/under 12 guage & my Weatherby Orion over/under in 20 gauge. Like svnmag, if I had the coin, I’d get one from Upland Gun Comapny- their SK Field in 16 ga

Beretta 390 12 ga. Because it fits me great. I shoot a lot of 5 stand and shoot IC most of the time. Tougher setups go to M. Walking courses for sporting clays I may switch or just shoot the IC. Skeet sure is fun too.

Anyone seeing good ammo deals? Scheels has the Fiocchi stuff for 89/case. Most others are 99 plus it looks like. Sure miss the days of 4.49 a box Estates. Shot thousands upon thousands of them. I quit reloading them as I could load for much less. Don’t shoot as much but need to buy a few cases yet this summer.

New thunder stick zog? Give the 20ga for sc shoots up?

Not familiar with this model but make sure you pattern with shot and chokes to be used, gunfit is important, just shouldering a shotgun off the rack is not gunfit, what might feel good to a 6'plus man won't feel or fit a 5'2 shooter, iffin your serious a good smith preferably a registered shooter is worth every penny iffin your fixing to be serious, registered shoots etc, just for fun no worries, sc clays in 12ga 8shot one ounce loads 1350fps is much preferred by a majority of sc gun slingers, little less felt recoil compared to 11/8th loads, but if this 303 is semi auto she'll be easy on the shoulder, fyi most Beretta are flat shooting field shotguns so pattern is important with various chokes you intend to use,one choke for all range and presentation isn't the best but convenient,a ic,or skeet choke on a close in rabbit 20yds +or- is best but next station 50yrd angle shot now what "spray and pray?" LOL have fun zog, hopefully your new smoke pole gives you great scores.
