first, if it is not about the anthem, why protest during it???

if it isn't about protesting cops, why say that it is??? ferguson, ny, baltimore, chicago, etc...

if you have bad cops and bad people running cities, why make it national??? chicago anyone???

Satire site but would be nice if it would happen. It is in the NFL rule book I have seen many references to that it is a requirement for teams to be present on the field for the anthem with helmet under their left arm or they could face penalties and or suspension.

I think it is a disgrace that they are using the flag and national anthem as a form of protest. I could care less about Trump's words. That flag and song represent the men and women who died for their freedoms and their ability to get paid millions of dollars to play a damn game. That is disrespectful in my opinion. Think about that...they get paid to play a GAME. How many of these guys use their fame and fortune off the field to help fix the problem? I would bet it is a very small percentage. Instead they just kneel during a game to try and get their point across.

Yesterday may have been the first time in my life that I purposefully did not watch football on Sunday and my day was better for it. I spent time with my family and enjoyed that more than watching a bunch of overpaid babies. Sure, I checked on my fantasy football team, but that is because I already have the money invested and I feel hypocritical because of it. I won't be watching another game this season or buying anything that is licensed by the NFL. They will no longer get my ratings or money. I am done with it.

What EXACTLY has Kapernick really done? He is a half rate quarterback that can;t compete at the NFL level so he is not being hired. He "gave up" nothing for his protest. It is his attempt for 5 minutes of fame his talents can no longer provide.

What EXACTLY are these players drawing attention too? That this nation is sooooooooooooooo racist that we can have a black president elected TWICE?

That people of color can achieve a seat on the highest court in the land?

If a person of color can actually prove they were discriminated against because of color they become milionaires in this "racist" nation these players claim we live in.

If these "black" players want to make an actual difference, if everyone one of the players that took a knee gave half of their paycheck to boys and girls clubs or other youth programs a message that this entire nation could have gotten behind would have been sent.

But they CHOSE to take a knee during the presentation of our flag and the playing of our national anthem. It IS disrespect no matter what excuse they make. If you do not think so........explain it to the family members that have lived the video below.

I look at this disrespect for the flag it make me sick. This is bigger then that. When the national anthem is being played my thoughts are about the respect and honor I have standing with my hand on my heart for the man and women who protect my freedoms and family, who gave there everything for what this country stands for. The question that always crosses my mind when I see this is-- When the S**t hits the fan Who's back do you got. Russia? NK? Iran? This country freedoms give you the right to protest BUT PROTESTING THE FLAG AND ANTHEM IS NOT ONE OF THEM IN MY BOOK. If you don't like this country go find a different country to live in. I will not wear or buy any more NFL jerseys and not attend another game. Find another way to protest and on your own time.
