Every time you fill out back ground check paperwork for a gun and then get approved for purchase......you are registered. Electronic information is free for anyone to access it seems these days. Online equals Open.

When I buy a new rifle I get more selling my old one outright than I do trading it in. Normally when I tell someone I am buying a rifle someone will ask "what are you trading in. and how much do you want for it ". Half the time you sell your old rifle to your friend's cousin who has a friend who knows a guy who wants that caliber and make. If they look at guns registered to me I will actually own about 10% of them. I hope they don't want to know where my five 243 Winchesters are because I currently don't own a single one.

This has to be what that means. I've only bought 1 new gun in ND. I had to have it shipped to a ND gun dealer since I purchased it online. So I guess I'm a "registered" gun owner, but I wouldn't classify the gun as "registered". I still have it, as I don't sell guns. I have way more than 1 gun however. Only 2 were bought new.

For buying new, sure. As PG said, good luck finding those guns i bought new...and all my others were lost in a boating accident.

Really my point is that there isnt suppose to be a registry. I "believe" federal law says there isnt suppose to be a registry.

Background check and NICS to keep out of hands of felons? Yes. But those records are to be destroyed.

So its interesting when they say registered!
