Anyone in Bismarck do some small simple steel projects? Scheels has 8” circles for $35. Seems kind of steep to me but I dunno.

I got an 1/2in thick 8" steel target off eBay with free shipping for $24.
Have always wondered how they can do free shipping on something that heavy and still make money when the item only costs $24

I paid $70 for an 8 inch plate in Jamestown, then found much cheaper on Amazon. I bought the $99 with frame from Cabelas, but the frame was flimsy. I used 5/8 inch rod and used map gas to heat and bend it. Then went to Macs and purchased tempered chain. I set up 4, 6, 8, and 10 inch 1/2 inch thick.

3/8" plate is plenty @ 200+ with any "deer" caliber rifle.

JC Steel targets are usually pretty reasonable. Amazon is even reasonabler.

Use your old pots and pans. They will go twang when you hit them, unless your good enough to put bullet on bullet.

I use disks off John Deere air seeders. There’s some on bisman know and they work great. High powers at distance they will dent but I shoot a lot of .223 and they barely make a dimple. Simple and cheap.

I do appreciate the “re-purposed” ideas gents but this would be a gift so I want something that looks somewhat professional.

Paint them Christmas colors. I think you can get some rattle cans colors with sparkles, that would be way over the top.
