Commercials? What commercials? That's what bathroom breaks, trips to the fridge, taking the dog out are for.

I thought the Snoop Dog and Martha Stewart cellphone commercial was pretty funny. Can of bisque anyone? :;:smokin

Otherwise an entertaining game, didn't really matter to me who won. I also thought Gaga at halftime was solid...who can bitch about someone actually singing and not bringing a bunch of "special guests" onstage to fill the time.

How dare you have a positive thing to say about anything in this thread? Didn't you know this was a place for practicing your crusty old guy routine? I hate everything, nothing is funny, all music sucks. You know, stuff like that

They were pretty shitty overall. I had a thought while watching with a few folks, do you think people feel they need to laugh at commercials during the super bowl because they feel obligated. the first few breaks had some snoozers and it seems like I heard quite a few chuckles then later when some of the goofier stuff showed up people seemed wore out. Most importantly SPUDS MCKENZIE!!!! Greatest beer dog ever!!(Stroh's Alex is a close 2nd) My wife says "who is that?" Unbelieveable.

I thought Gaga's choreography was 20 different versions of the "crappie flop" but that was probably the wrong fish. It was about 80% snapper. I heard her on Stern awhile back and her music isn't my thing but when they just gave her only a piano and a mic I was surprised at the talent. Trying to sing while she was obviously out of breath didn't help her out much.

i certainly wasn't upset with ga ga. i ain't a fan. but, she did sing, didn't do anything stupid, etc... could've been way worse based on past superbowl halftime shows.

and yes... welcome back the ghost of spuds mckenzie! damn that miller lite truck for running him over like a dozen times.

The Anheuser-Busch ad was blatantly pro-immigration. I won't be buying any of their swill ever again.

Skittles and Mr. Clean were my favorites. Couldn't stand the audi one about women's rights. Sounded like they were taking shots at Trump the whole time.

Obama completely pussified our country in 8 years. Simply amazing. Change indeed.

Companies are using this social justice trend simply to gain sales - I hope they recognize the cost associated with it.

The bands Bruce S. and Green Day for instance - they get turned off every single time I hear them play. Lady Ga Ga got turned off - set my timer - went back when I figured it was done (20 minutes). There are a number of comedians I refuse to watch now too. No big deal - just have ZERO interest to watch/listen since I have come to understand their values well and I don't want to support their lifestyle and their effectiveness at messaging. I'm sure they don't care that one guy is doing it - but I feel great exercising what little power I personally have over their income.

I am quietly, happily and effectively voting with my pocket book/viewership.

I am the same way.
That GD Bruce S can kiss my ass. I would likely not turn the station everytime his music is played had he not gone and put his politics into his act.

I don't think any of the late night talk show/comedies are one damn bit funny either.

No doubt. So far hardcore Trumpsters have been deeply offended by a Broadway musical, a coffee shop, Saturday Night Live, a Star Wars movie, and now a beer ad. What a bunch of pussies indeed. Thanks a lot Obama

You could always really stick it to them and drink beer that isn't owned by a global beer conglomerate based out of Belgium. There are so many great beers being made right here in ND. And they're busy making awesome beer instead of taking political stances

My son said a kid in his class called a classmate a faggot when he was talking in a high pitched voice, the kid that was called the name laughed about it, as they were buddies. Well someone overheard the slur and reported it to the principal and the student was in school suspended for bullying.
Should the kid call another kid faggot?, was anyone hurt? is this the way our world now works? I told my son that it is okay to joke around with friends, name calling is something we do when we give each other a hard time, but make darn sure if you are in school and its possible someone might over react to it, maybe don't say such a thing.

Buy the way "sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me" is no longer true...haha

Are you native? Otherwise that's insanely hypocritical. It's one thing to be against letting people in who will do nothing but be a drag on society and set up their own little communities trying to change us instead of them changing to us. But being against 100% of all immigration when you're not actually from here is quite ridiculous.

Oh but on a funny note the lumber company who did the mother daughter Mexican sneaking into the US their website that you had to go to to see the second half of the commercial on totally crashed during the game so nobody could actually watch it. That's an expensive Whoopsie

For the most part I didn't think most of the commercials were anything special. I do have to wonder why businesses spend so much money on a SUPER BOWL AD and at the end I'm not sure what was trying to be sold.

I did have a different opinion on the Anheuser-Busch ad. I looked at it as an ad promoting immigrants are welcome. We expect you to come here legally with proper paperwork and once you are here there are opportunities for you to be successful. Just don't come here expecting to be on the government tit and that we will take care of you forever. In other words, you are welcome as long as you want to become a part of this country and not change it into the country you came from. I don't think it's fair to suggest that Busch came to this country under the same circumstances as today's refugees.

When I heard that Lady Gaga was the halftime entertainment I wasn't excited. After halftime I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. There wasn't anything offensive as she can sometimes be. The music was good, the backup dancers were good, overall I'd give it a positive grade. The downside is that someone cast a spell over the Falcons. Don't know who to blame but it happened at halftime.

People love to hate success and for that Belichek, the Patriots, and Tom Brady are often bad-mouthed. I'm not a Patriot fan but I do applaud their success. Wow, what a comeback. Did some holding calls help? Yes, and from the replays I thought they were all good calls. Felt sorry for the Falcons but they get paid a good salary for making plays when needed. Didn't earn their pay the second half.
