why is it that right nuts are considered more valuable? I've never heard anyone offer them in trade until just now. Left nuts appear to be the ugly red-headed stepchildren of nuts.

Looks like you pull the dorsal fin somehow.

With your fillet knife, cut parallel to the fin, through the skin and into the meat.
Then pinch the leading edge of the fin between your thumb and blade of the knife.
Give her a pull. Should come right out.
