I envision the future will entail something like Google glass, in which everyone can wear their electronics and actually "see" the fish they're going after.

This kinda stuff is taking the fishing out of fishing. May as well put this tech in an enclosed trailer, put some goggles on, a couple wands/controllers and an actuated rod. When you leave the Virtual world someone smacks you in the face with a fish and you pick up your fillets at the end of the trailer.... For F's sake. 5K for electronics. Thats 5x the cost of my boat, rods, lures and gear combined (not including truck).

I can find lots of things I'd rather have for that 5k other than a big screen on my boat.

Last summer I seen a big ass ranger boat that had like three big screens, five guys with rods in holders, beer in hand and trolling through 25 some boats that were drifting down the big river by hazelton. Go figure. If you got the big money you do as you dam please.

Funny how the only time the make of the boat is mentioned is when it's a sparkly glass one. If a guy is being a dickhead in a Lund, Alumacraft, etc., you only hear about said dickhead and his behavior. If the guy was in a Ranger, it was a dickhead Ranger owner. Guess that's why I stick to my 80s Lund. I can act like a royal assbag and get away with it more than DM and the Ranger Boys
