I am guessing the prosecutor holds all the cards in this game. </p><p></p><p>Thanks to the sex offenders link provided, I checked my local area only to find someone who raped a ONE YEAR OLD baby.  WTF?!?! </p><p></p><p>Here was how it turned out:</p><p>Disposition: 5 YEARS; FIRST SERVE 48 MONTHS; 12 MONTHS SUSPENDED FOR 5 YEARS; 5 YEARS SUPERVISED PROBATION</p><p></p><p>Within a year, or two of having been released, he was again sent to prison for sexually molesting a 6 yr old boy.  He served 6 years of a 10 year sentence for that one.  Near as I can tell, he's been out of prison since 2004.</p></blockquote><p></p>
