Just a heads-up. Found the first tick of the year today on the dog. Frontline is on.

I hope with the drier spring they won't be as bad as they have in the past few years.

Turkey hunting the other day not sure if I sat on a nest or what but I had 16 on me. My cousin only had 2 on him though so guess I was the unlucky one

Yep!! Killed damn near the same weight in ticks as I did turkey. My permethrin treated clothing has obviously lost a bit of it's effectiveness. Time to retreat I guess.

I was living that feeling for real on Saturday. Must have picked off at least 30 while hunting and another 20 or so while riding in the car to the hotel and another 3 or 4 after changing out of my hunting clothes and sitting in the room watching tv. Even found a couple the next morning. Bet the cleaning staff was thrilled.

Ya one tried to catch a ride home with me last Saturday after turkey hunting. I must have kicked 15 or more back to the woods before hand. But not before I ripped their head off.

Ever since I started spraying my yard in the spring I haven’t had nearly as many ticks as years before.

They are still out at my place, just not in the same numbers as I find them in April. I picked a couple up last night while spraying weeds.

I see them all fall into October where I hunt birds but they are the smaller sesame seed sized deer ticks at that time rather than the dog ticks/wood ticks you find in spring and summer. Some of the birds i shoot are full of them bedded into their neck.
