That would be pretty impressive considering Thunderbeast says their Ultra 7 is 134-136 for a 308. I'm trying to find some unbiased reviews / testing of them, but not finding much. There's a video showing it side by side with another longer can, and it sounds quieter, but the guy shooting the Wit is further from the camera, and you have no idea what kind of load each is shooting.

Their claim of "no blowback" is also intriguing. Shooting an AR suppressed is not as fun as it could be due to the additional action fouling that occurs. Shooting left handed, I get more gas and crap in my face than most.

SuppressYourself,

What do you shoot for ammo out of your AR with your can for coyotes? I have been experimenting with a variety and haven't found anything I like for the cheaper rounds. I currently am using the Fiochi 50 gr Polymer tips (it doesn't specifically say they are V-max bullets). The older versions used to say v-max, these say polymer tipped on the ammo box. These are accurate and seem to be a cleaner burning round, but I have had a 3 get away, and I had 3 other well-hit (behind the shoulder) coyotes run 200+ yds before dying.

I tried some other brands... Ultramax with 53 gr V-max. Those were very accurate and killed coyotes, but they were a very dirty round. I got a lot of blowback and fouling so I have been trying some other brands. I would like to shoot a 53-55 gr bullet that anchors coyotes... my next try will probably be 53 or 55 gr hollow points.

Speaking of the Banish 30. I just finished my paperwork a few weeks ago. I am amazed at the weight difference on the Banish 30 compared to my Yankee Hill Suppressor. The Banish 30 (30 caliber suppressor) is almost half the weight of my 556 suppressor. When holding it, it even feels lighter than that!

From my 223 AR15, I actually shoot the exact same 50gr Fiocchi polymer tip. I've had good luck with them. I don't recall any getting away, but they will run a bit. I mainly use my 223 on prairie dogs, and that 50 gr Fiocchi splatters them nicely.

IMO, you may not find anything that "anchors" Coyotes out of a 223 in a short-ish barreled AR. There's just not enough velocity or mass there, and you need one or the other, or preferably both.

I shoot the 53 v-max out of my 22-250, and that is a "dead-right-there" round at ~3900 FPS, and creates spectacular carnage on p-dogs, but that's a 24" barreled bolt gun, and not particularly handy.

My go-to for coyotes is my AR10 in 6mm Creedmoor. The 87gr vmax at ~3150 drops them in their tracks every time, and is good enough in the wind to be a hammer out past 600 yards.

If you want a true never-fail coyote "anchor", you may have to carry more gun.

I do a fair amount of coyote hunting with an AR. Best bullet I have found is the 50gr. nosler ballistic tip. Very good on fur, and drops majority on the spot. If they do run, its under 50 yards. Haven't lost a one yet. Friends use v-max, but they are too inconsistent. Either big holes or they run off. I believe the only factory ammo with ballistic tip in 223 uses 55 gr. Might be worth a try. If you decide to reload, give me a shout. I'll help you with load for the 50gr. Nosler has a little lead in the rear of the bullet which in my opinion makes it superior to the v-max.
