What a fish, I don't think mike Tyson could slap a grin off my face after catching that.

What are the chances he would be fishing with worst photographer in Manitoba?

seriously, i thought the same thing. How is it even possible to take such shitty pictures these days? Juanr has had some doozies tho so i guess it is possible, just not probable.

I would not be able to fish for about 2 hours after landing something like that(still would be shaking).

I think if you caught a fish like this it would result in you achieving your dream, you'd retire, get fat, start collecting model trains, etc. so I will pray each night that you don't. It's the kind of thing sportsmen do for each other.

no, no need to thank me

I just keep imagining it.....knowing it's a big fish is one thing - seeing it come up for the first time quite another. Man what a fish. Not sure who was more nervous after that, the guy with the rod or the net?

Oh - and not a very good Ishmael pose.....

Haha, yeah pictures were kinda terrible. I sure as sheet hope they got better pics later on. Trophy of a lifetime, I would have jetted back to shore, got another camera and/or a different cameraman and took about 1,000 pictures on the boat, where it was caught. Ahab pose and all. If he would have busted out the fish fingers and extended his arms as far as possible, would have looked like a world record, that is if the cameraman could have got it all on one picture!! Still cant believe the size of that fish. Freakin awesome, and congrats to the lucky angler. I cannot honestly imagine catching an eye of that size.

It said he released it unharmed. Probably the reason for impromptu crappy pictures.

Understood - fish of a lifetime and maybe someone else's as well! I've been alone with big fish and had to settle for whatever the timer function would allow....

Ahh, I see. Fair enough. Great catch and release! Would have been tough to let that one go. Maybe the fish Gods will reward him tenfold.

I have had this happen many times, usually when fishing with my father-in-law or an older guy who has little to no idea how to use a camera phone. Your in a hurry and want to get the fish back in the water and they usually end up cutting my head out or only get half the fish or have their finger over the lens. "ok, got it" they say and I realease the fish then look at the pictures and just shack my head. Its like they are drunk and just using a camera for the first time. frustrating!

does a need exist to throw that pig pack? it will probably decrease in size as time goes on -- eat a lot of little walleyes and really not spawn that much. My sister in law caught one that was old and long but not fat --- to old. Keep it --- take a good pic and take the lateral line out and have a good piece of old walleye.

How is the waves generally at that entrance. I cant imagine a nw wind -- but what about se. Can you rely on getting out at least once if one goes up in the fall?

I have a ice cold Busch light situation, and sometimes my pictures resemble this statement.

I would guess this entire story is bs, and that is all.
