also I cast a 3/8 oz jig or bigger 95% of the time so not sure how it would do with the lighter tackle

Jaykay's post about bright green line for his ability to see it led me to a question. Has anyone played around with different line colors on sunny and overcast days and does it seem to affect the bite at all ? Thinking of my color coated lead core line, Do fish have enough brains to shy away from a visible line ?

Baitcaster vs spinning cus I am 100 percent more accurate but spinning u can cast anything light; advice become a good spinning rod caster
Brand doesn't matter. Just remember more rods vs less.

I use a fluorocarbon leader 6 to 8’ long for casting and 12-14’ for trolling. I can say I don’t think I’m spooking fish. I don’t think I’d tie direct though. I like the little cushion a leader provides.
