Warm Feet~

Well we went from the 50's to below freezing in a matter of days this past week,with that said I had a youngster sitting in a ground blind for his 1st deer hunt last weekend,he kept warm except for his feet,anyone try the boot insoles?

One of these in the blind sure helps for the kiddos toes/fingures .. $40 well spend in my opinion

A good stocking cap will go a long way towards keeping his feet and hands warm too.

I tried some Stanley heated socks from Menards last year. Don’t bother. They are garbage.

Peace of carpet and a sunflower head heater. Believe me for kids it works awesome! Deer must think the hiss is the wind or something. Covers up allot of noise n keeps em warm!��

My wife has the thermacell insoles. They work great until you forget to charge them. I recommend the disposable chemical activated hand/feet warmers.

I'd recommend the thermacell. Bought them two years ago and I wouldn't go any other way. Someone mentioned if you remember to charge them... thats like saying if you remember to bring your gun or bring a sandwhich. My boots get so warm they freeze to my metal tree stand with them on. You'll be happy with the purchase if you go that way.

Darn Tough or these. The Clams are a quality Merino sock for a more than fair price. They’re “fluffier” and don’t last as long as a Darn Tough.

Both with the thinnest poly liners I can find under them.

Yup, I'm collecting them . Have 3 pair The only thing I don't like is they lack traction , especially on ice.
But they sure keep my feet warm

Brainfart : I bet a guy could fins the perfect little grip tire that's soft and flexible vulcanize it and trim it up just like a shoemaker .

When I was a kid we had an old shoemaker who was deaf and couldn't talk but he could grunt and hold his fingers up how much to pay , Mom gave me money and told me to pick up my boots , he scared the crap out of me but I was amazed at watching him work with his old tools. He probably fixed 10 pair of shoes for $1.50 or $2 a piece on a good day.,

Bet a guy could put some silicone or caulking on 3/8” long 5/16” head screws and spin them right into the soles.

I ordered some alpaca socks.
I will report in when I get them and take for a test ride.

Merino wool doesn't work for me. I wish it did. My feet are like ice cubes. That is why I hold my drinks with my feet. : ) Yep frozen feet at the age of 8 was my downfall.
