You know, I was just thinking... Jeff Sessions is Attorney General. DAPL Dave profited greatly from massive, ongoing, criminal activity that he and others organized. One word - er, acronym: RICO.

Confiscating his businesses and Marina Bay estate would put a dent in the $40 million tab the residents of Morton County are stuck with.

we need to boycott that damn casino for life. best way to get rid of em. urge all your friends and relatives to do the same. anybody going there should be castrated or spayed.

I could not agree more. I already am. I won't give that casino, or any of them in our state a nickel. EVER!!! Mine was a personal reason. You might be able to find my comment in earlier pages of this thread on why. I wish this place would go bankrupt!

Well I know the housing, medical, higher ed, food benefits, and stipend are a thing, the amounts I am not certain. I also know in the past (if not still) a check was cut on the 3rd of the month.

This is not the fault of the native American, so don't take this as a rip on them. It is the fault of our over liberal government continuing a failed experiment just to garner votes.

This conversation would benefit from more input from you and Rowdie.

And Juanr is right. When I was a kid I blamed the people on the Rez for their problems. Then in high school I worked with a guy who grew up on the Rez and had recently been released from prison for attempted murder. I still remember him saying, "I shot a guy because I didn't like him. Now he's in a wheelchair. How messed up is that?" He said that he had no idea he'd done anything wrong until he went to prison. He swore he'd never go back to the Rez. Don't know what ever happened to him.

To a point but no more checks it is all items that's why you can buy EBT for pennies on the dollar but I know lots of white people that sell EBT get housing and everything else a native does just need to know the system.

I will never go to casino again not that I did much any way.

EBT, checks what's the difference. It all spends the same. Those on EBT can afford booze and cigarettes because the rest of us are giving them money for their groceries. They should test them for booze and nicotine and if they test positive no EBT

The headline made me want to throw a TV through my window but upon further inspection, it's one night's stay and a hot meal, followed by a one way bus ticket out of dodge. I am not opposed to getting them the %#@&! out of here.

UPDATE: State of North Dakota offering FREE motel and bus rides for #NoDAPL protesters that leave the camp

MORE UPDATED INFO at the end of this article.

UPDATE: Cecily Fong, the Public Information Officer, for ND Emergency Services confirms the information below via email.

According to Fong, the state of North Dakota is offering some free services to protesters who leave the #NoDAPL camps. She says the hope is that those who do not have the resources to leave the camp before tomorrow's emergency evacuation deadline, but do not have the resources to do so will use this offer.

The plan is still waiting on final confirmation, but some of these offers may include a motel room, bus ride from the camp to Bismarck/Mandan area, food voucher, gas cards, and a one-way ticket for a bus ride back to their original home. This is predominantly for the protesters that do not have the means to leave the camp on their own.

The state is doing what they can to help people leave the camp peacefully in order to allow for a safe and peaceful evacuation by 2pm tomorrow.

Fong tells us that even though this may seem unfair to North Dakota taxpayers, the hope is that if the protests get wrapped up now, it will save money in the long run.

MORE UPDATED INFO from North Dakota Joint Information Center:

Travel Assistance Center Established for Protesters

Bismarck, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Human Services, North Dakota Department of Emergency Services and the North Dakota Department of Health have partnered to set up a travel assistance center. This free service will provide protesters with support as they prepare for their return home.

The transportation assistance center will offer personal kits, water and snacks, health/wellness assessments, bus fare for a return trip home, a food voucher, hotel lodging for one night, and a taxi voucher to the bus terminal.

Transportation will be provided from the protest camp to the assistance center.

All camp residents are encouraged to take advantage of these amenities.

If I lived anywhere close to one of these "free" sites I'd consider putting trail cams out and lock and load.

It's cheaper than incarceration, court and court appointed attorneys.
Plus it gives the state a nice little "hay we bent over backwards to help them" excuse for when they have to move in with Force. Not that it will do them any good with the left wing wackos but not a bad play on their part.

Dump all the shit left on his property and then levy specials on the property to remove it.
