West end sakakawea

So I am pretty new to ice fishing west end of Sak. Today we went out, drove 100 mi. If I’m driving that far I’d like to make it worth my while. We managed to scrounge up one nice 21.5” walleye. Any one have any tips as far as where to fish, what to look for? I’m not used to those bigger bodies of water. For instance, we fished edge of sunken island and moved to Far East point today. Anything helps, thanks

I will usually dissect an area with Navionics before going to a new area. Have 5-10 spots you want to try. I 'm usually looking for easy transitions from the basin areas to feed (shallow) areas.
