Boat prices all over the place so thought i would ask the experts on here:
Helping a buddy sell this. I will post pics etc in classifieds on here, bisman, walleye central, etc but looking for what you guys may think would be in the range.
2000 2150 Baron Magnum Grand Sport
2000 225 OptiMax
2000 Shorelander Tandem Trailer
15 HP Merc kicker
No work on either motor
3yr old Minkota Terrova 24volt electric
2 Mag 10 electric downriggers
3 battery onboard battery charger
Marine band radio
electronics
Stored inside when not in use
He had a place at LOW over the years but not now. He winters in Arizona so is looking to get rid of this rig
Not much use the last few years. Maybe a few outings on Devils.
I have fished salmon on Lake Michigan with him a number of years ago. NICE RIG!
Thanks in advance!

Lots of people asking 18-20k for boats similar. Which I think is absurd and don’t know if they’ll get it. But realistically 15k

hell of a boat but 20 years old. new owner will. If concerned of losing money take some of the extras off and sell separately it will sell at 10k to 15k with or without kicker, downriggers,

Boats are always worth more to the seller than they are to the buyer as is with almost everything. But it's worth what you want to pay for it in supporting your passion. Just imagine what the price tag would be if it had 'sparkles'!

get it on the market now ---boat sales were way up this summer as people tried to get away from the virus. Watch for the free"fall" of the prices going into fall.

the money got spent and now drunken sailors are reaching into empty pockets.

I think 75% of a boat's price comes down to the motor. So even though the boat itself might be 20 years old, if the motor is only 3 then it's probably worth a lot more, especially if the owner took care of everything.

I bought a boat 2 years ago. I looked around for 5 years for a good deal on a boat in this price range. If it's in good shape it will command a good price. Eyexer is spot on with his numbers. I keep looking at the classifieds out of habit and curiosity. Don't separate out the components like someone mentioned, especially the kicker. The kicker WILL add value, those that know what a kicker is worth will pay for it.

I bet someone would pay the top end of Eyexer's numbers. List it for 20K on walleye central. 15 is a good deal, 13is a steal.

Saw something really interesting yesterday. My brother in law bought a boat seven years ago. Paid $8500 for it. Just sold it last week for $9000. There is the identical boat for sale right now with the only additional thing being a 9.9 kicker on it and it’s five years older but same model and virtually identical electronics etc. same main motor too. He’s asking 15k. With the insane price of new boats now people aren’t afraid to ask insane prices for used boats.

Depending on condition of everything and seeing what others are asking out there, I’d probably put 18-20k on it and not settler for less than 16k.

I sold my boat this spring for the same price I paid for it 8 yrs ago. Prices are stupid right now. How in the world can boats be as expensive as they are? There isn't that much to them and most new boats cost more than vehicles.

I’d say about 15-20k, depending the shape of it, and if ya got the travel cover, plus the full cabin covers. Nice boat, I got an 05 1950 Tyee magnum, big, deep, and wide, Sherman tank on the water.

It'll be worth more to someone who exclusively fishes big water and either doesn't have far to go to the ramp, or, is able to have the boat in a slip all summer.

Update. Sounds like a deal is in place for $18,500. He started at $20,000. Offer came in for $18,000 and he said he would sell for $18,500 and throw in $400-$500 in tackle, etc to include 8 and 10lb balls, extra stackers, releases, flashers, dodgers, dipsy's, j plugs, spoons, howie flys, etc.
On a side note, I went with him and another guy to Lake Michigan a couple of times for salmon. Stayed in Sturgeon Bay. Before we hit the lake we would drive over to Algoma and hit their tackle shop up...well more of a hardware store. Dang store was a fire hazard with all the tackle and stuff all over the place!! haha.Local guide headquartered out the store. He was happy to assist with what the salmon liked that particular week we were there. Of course we didn't have color, size, etc in the 4-5 tackle boxes we had so proceeded to buy even more..hahaha

Used boat prices are propped up because of how insanely expensive new boats are and also low interest rates. If you rigged a new Lund to match this it would be $60,000+ so $20,000 doesn't seem to bad for an older boat in great shape. I have a perfect "river boat" i've owned for 20 years that i know i could get at least what i paid for it, just because a new one like it would be 4-5x the price.

These quality boats hold their value, as long as everything is working. It's the reason I took a loan out. I could only save half the 25K in 5 5 years, wasn't waiting another 5.
