I gotta try something different.

- Drudgereport was always sensational in his headlines but it's suddenly going to shit. Cruz=Nazi, Trump=Hero. WTF happened to Drudge?
- The Blaze is mostly click bait and Glenn Beck is... yeah. Check your feelings, brah.
- Washington Free Beacon is all politics, pretty narrow on the news.
- Fox News, CNN, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, blah, blah, blah. Nope, not a chance.
- InForum makes me want to put an ice pic through (not thru) my eyeball. It's awful. Only option for local news.
- Bismarck Tribune isn't terrible but it's a bit limited in scope.
- KVLY, WDAY, etc are to television what InForum is to the Internet. Cannot and do not turn it on. Take me now, God. (Although, I've worked with some of the folks that work for local stations and they're good people. I blame production.)

Few places that are ok for gun news:
- The Truth About Guns (their gun reviews are terrible)
- The Firearms Blog (pretty fun.)
- Ammoland (there's occasionally some crazy-ass commentary here. Lots of updates on MN gun rights news. The gun rights guys in MN are hardcore and have their shit together.)

Radio:
- 1100 AM The Flag: Actually really enjoy their morning show. Family friendly, local people with a slightly conservative bent. Can't listen to "What's on your mind."

Where do you get your news? Any recommendations?

Oh, and I do check Rob Port's blog a couple times a week ;-)

I usually get my news by hearing the latest oral or written diarrhea from the govt propaganda machine through various sphincter outlets on tv, radio, and print, then wait 3 weeks until the questions start concerning the truthfulness of the previously reported events, then watch the squirm festival by the various figureheads (ie. lying shitbag politicians of various levels) deny the aforementioned events and news reports thereby providing a glimpse of what the real story might be, leaving me with the dubious duty of making up my own mind about what really happened. Then we have the weather that is 80% wrong followed by the rigged sporting events that bone the clueless fans into paying exorbitant prices to see, but employ armies of photographers, reporters, merchandisers, and washed up former players that couldn't get a real job if their lives depended upon it. Does that about cover it for you???

I think KDM, has it completely nailed down. It needs no more discussion.
I listen to KFYR550 allday, and it's not bad, but that's mainly because they say exactly what I want to hear

Ha ha. Good question, I wonder where to get news myself. I'm sick of commentary. That's about all it is now. The local news I think is still good. But man for national and international news. It's a challenge to get unbiased news.. you know "just the facts mam". I can form my own opinions I don't need to hear them.. and yeah, kdm nailed it.

I like the News Republic app pulls stories from many different outlets. You get to see everybodys differnt spins and form your own opinion. If you don't like certain outlets you delete them.

I'm a fan of CBS morning and evening news. Nora is hot. It's probably the least bias, and they don't report on Kim K's Twitter feed. I also read the forum and Bismarck tribune.

I frequent a few places, sometimes its interesting when you hear about news via US channels, go to direct to the country where the event happened and read their local online papers. Or get other countries slant on events going on in the USA. I check out foxnews, msnbc, cnn, vice news, BBC in england. Gotta go to the lib sites expecting liberal bullshit, but its interesting to hear/read some of that stuff to get an idea of how they think. Used to look on bis tribune site occasionally, but they want people to be members sometimes now and Im not paying for that shit, it was MUCH better when people where allowed to comment on articles, that was entertaining at least.

Actually on "fagbook" if you are "friends" with the right people and "like" the right pages there is news being shared that does not make a lot of other sources.

The trouble is you have to sort the truth from the BS. But you get a pretty good idea after a while who is posting reliable news and who is not.

It is actually about 90%of the reason I am on it. (that and the ability to point out the flaws in liberals "logic" on a regular basis)

Bismarck Tribune is nothing more than an ad agency taking in money to pay their folks to produce the ad in print form. Okay, they do have five or six people copy/pasting everything off of the AP wire. Do they actually go out and do investigative journalism? Absolutely not, that costs money.

The Tribune's parent company is in dire financial concerns, as is with 80% of newsprint organizations. In my opinion the copy/paste action is one of the main reasons people seek news elsewhere. Hell, I can find 10 other places to read the same stories that I find in the Tribune.
