Anyone ever grilled a whole hog? Looking to do two hogs, each weighing about 100lbs. Going to be grilling over charcoal. This will be my first time doing whole pigs so any pointers would be great!

they are fatty as the lady that sings at operas. so, flare ups are a problem. lots of videos on youtube bout roasting hogs though. they would be a good place to start. we've done a couple in my life and buried both of them in tinfoil in pits and covered with sand/dirt for i don't remember how long... 6 hours maybe.

Plan on doing one for our 45th class reunion. Have zero experience; plan on putting it in the ground however..

Thanks for the info. It looks like a pit might be the way to go. Either way I will post pics of how it turns out.
