Question for you guys in western ND. I'm wondering what the approximate time frame would be to do a little rockhounding along the yellowstone this spring with low water level or is it already to late ?

Mostly agates far as I know.
If I ever hear a rock hit the bucket of a loader tractor EVER again, it will be too soon. Picked enough rocks when I was a kid to affect the hearing of my great grand kids. Good luck my man. Hope you find a T-rex tooth or something just as cool.
That's her choice not yours or mine. She shares a wealth of information and that's all I was looking for. This lady got all dressed up and makeup on to look for some fing rocks...wth. guess its better than an OF..wait a second....
I was joking around..i find it neat.Haha , Same here , with a 65 massey Ferguson in 1st gear and low range , jump off and walk ahead and fill the bucket . I should have been paying more attention to what I was throwing away .

The stretch of the yellowstone in nd does not have rock beds it's silted in or is sand.just letting us know it's real sandy so mt up stream may have more rock exposed.Yellowstone in Sidney is currently at flood stage, gonna be awhile before the sand bars are dried up
