How deep is the snow on the lake? Could a guy get around ok with a mid size 4WD pickup pulling a camper? How thick is the ice?

Any ice concerns at all with this warm up last few days? Heading to Audubon this afternoon....was gonna drive truck out. 2 weeks ago had about 20 inches on the north side of the lake where I fished. May just walk out this afternoon...gonna be nice and warm...good exercise!

it will take a week of warm temps to make that ice bad unless we magically hit 80... then I'll jump on the global warming bandwagon too

I wouldn't worry too much this warm up hasn't been too long. Just watch out for pressure ridges and cracks. As always watch out for those sunken islands too.

She is pretty solid out there. Getting close to 3'. More pressure ridges forming though. Fishing is hit and miss.

30 inches of ice on the north side of the lake. Any reports? Have heard of guys nailing them in 30+ feet and heard from a source that they are catching them in under 8 feet, all full of frogs.

I was up Saturday. Marked a ton of fish after dark, but struggled getting bites. Left at 8:30 and only had caught one fish, but had marked probably 30 fish in 1-1/2 hours. Ice was pushing 3' thick where we were at.
