Quiet Pellet Gun

Check out the FX Panthera Hunter. Looks fun but not cheap by any means, not sure how quiet it is either.

Lots of cool advances in air guns. I use a Gamo nowadays, probably had it for some 11 or 12 years. Accurate as heck, shoots pellets at over 1200 fps, but is as loud as my 22 LR.

Can a high quality pellet in a cheap gun improve accuracy enough to notice much of a difference ? I'm still shooting pellets from the 80s .

That's a good question, Davey. I remember finding a LOT of deformed pellets in the standard offerings back in the 80s. The more modern stuff I bought when I picked up this air rifle over 10 years ago, is still shooting vermin off the original couple packs of pellets I bought back then. Accuracy and lethality is pretty good to 35-40 yds.

I was thinking Eley Tenex should be decent but they are out of stock at the places Iv'e looked at so far.

JSB Exact Diablos shoot really well out of most guns.

Yes, we had Anschutz air rifle and Feinwerkbau air rifle and used their pellets.

I looked and the ammo I am using is labeled as Gamo's target and competition grade. It's in the 0.177 caliber. Let's just say the vermin don't care that it's not the hunting grade ammo.
