Well it's the crack of dawn on the ship at 6:05 am here in the coast water off of Newfoundland Canada. It's the start of a long 2 days trip to get home.

You have one hell of an interesting job, seis! Better than heading to the same office every day. When you get back you'll have to fill me in on those auto hook setter you built out of aluminum.

Yeah he does, hell of some commutes too. The hook setters he made were pretty sweet looking, since I have a habit of not getting bites it seemed superfluous for my needs.

Sorry for no response on here for the last few days guys. The morning I wrote that I made a made a ship to ship transfer using our 32 ft work boat while at sea. I then took that second ship into port at Bulls Bay i Newfoundland. I have to say a big thanks to the guys that manned the work boat because we put out into 3 meter seas (~9 ft) to make sure I made it to Abbot Heart Hospital in Minneapolis on Saturday night to say goodbye to my Mother before she pasted. We got her back home Sunday and she pasted away Monday morning in the company of family at my sisters house Monday morning.

what you doing there?

I work a company doing offshore seismic surveys on a ship for oil companies. I've worked offshore every Continent except Antarctica in something close to 40 countries over 25 years. Furthest north that I've worked is about 200 miles north of Norway and the furthest south was about 75 miles south of the Falkland Islands.

I'll do a thread on that auto setter DirtyMike.
