This solo trip provided me with a new personal best walleye close to home and another personal best fish and the first of a species I have never caught in my lifetime that would make Wild Bill proud. Who would have thought buffalo carp would be the prettier of the two carp we have in Lake Sakakawea?

Come see it for your own eyes if you can’t believe it. Also, maybe you’ll find out a particular method works in mid summer that you never would have tried otherwise. Adventure was the name of the game today.
