It would’ve been a lot easier to just post the cast to catch video of this 13 pounder and not include the ending/part about it not just swimming back happily where it came from. However, I felt there was some important lessons and subjects to be discussed related to this example. Long story short this fish might’ve died, or might’ve lived. I handled the fish too long complicating matters it was facing related to barotrauma. That being said we also had some methods readily available to give it a solid chance at survival. The more I learn about fishing, the more I realize I don’t know. My thoughts on some of these things will likely evolve over time as I/we learn more about this subject.
