Early Ice is finally here! We decided to head west to South Dakota this year to chase some walleyes. After a number of year of going to Red Lake, we decided to try something a little different!

We managed to get on top of a ton of walleye and even some jumbo perch! The range was anywhere from 12in-22ins including a BEAST of a walleye (a FAT 28 inch fish) that Britney caught jigging.

Tactics:
-Fish Daddy Glow Spoon (green) – effect for both Walleye and Jumbo Perch

-Slab Raps – Wonder Bread and Pink colors

As for set lines, medium sized suckers were the ticket for larger walleye on tip ups. Not so much action on the bobber rods in the pop up.
Overall, it was a fantastic way to start the ice season! Stay tuned as we have more content coming out this winter to help get more fish on the top side of the ice for you
