I'd rather be in a boat, but there's no better time to shore fish than in the spring. And with the amount of ice still covering most the lakes in North Dakota, the best option to find some walleyes was on foot. We drove to and fished Sakakawea, Audubon, Hiddenwood, and Makoti all in one day and eventually found some active fish.
