This was absolutely the best hunt of my life so far! I started this year off with a plan to film a completely different North Dakota archery Whitetail hunting video. My goal was to show all the work it takes to be successful during the archery season. Well, as the year went on, my priorities changed from wanting to make an artsy video to wanting to get my sons in the blind with me.

As a dad with a full time job and a full time passion, I am away from my family quite a bit. I would be lying if I said that I didn't feel quite a bit of guilt because of it. Focusing on both filming and hunting make it easy to lose track of the "why" and I'm so glad my family helped remind me.

My mission with NPLife isn't to be some cool hunter or fisherman. I'm not here to try and say how good of an outdoorsman I am. My goal is to share my life, the good, the bad, the indecision, the pride, the happiness and sadness. I hope I can show other young dad's out there how important it is to share your experiences with your kids and give them the opportunity to experience what God has so graciously given to us.
