At least the boater was prepared and wasn't loading up at the boat ramp. :;:
I have seen lots of things blow out of boats over the years going down the road, wish we had a secure load law here in the state like most other states have.

watching the video makes me wonder 1. as soon as the water float came lose why didn't the mc slow down because if it was me that thing would have started to come loose I personally would have been behind the car with the dash cam. I know one thing for sure, me on a mc will not win in a accident no matter who's at fault.

Reminds me.... I left two dozen leeches in the boat last night and forgot to put 'em in the garage fridge. I wonder what they're up to?!?!?

He didn't seem to react to quickly to that, maybe wasn't looking straight ahead right when it happened. The problem with motorcycles is you can be doing everything right and you take your eyes off the road for one second and you have an object bouncing at you.

I just sold my bike after 10 accident free years and 20,000 miles. I had some close calls though. It doesn't take much to ruin your day...or life!

Perception and he was closing in fast got em. What is with all the bikes acceleration in traffic. I understand kind spot acceleration but in this case why? I see it everyday. Between jet ski and loud bikes I have no use for either

That's a bad place to be as a biker. My initial reaction would have been to get on the binders while watching the direction of the object. Right after I got on the binders I would be wondering if there was big SUV about ready to slam into the back of me.

Shouldn't there always be enough space betwixt you and the vehicle in front of you to stop safely? I know that's being a bit idealistic of course.

He did have enough room..if it was the vehicle stopping in front of him, not some object flying of the back and decelerating rapidly. Motorcycles can stop way faster than cars, so him slamming on brakes that quickly could very likely end up being slammed by a semi or you pulling your boat.
